Football has always been about more than football. Long before statistics, broadcasts and social media, it lived in moments.
A walk to the stadium with our father. A shirt worn until the colours faded. A goal replayed endlessly in a playground long before it ever appeared on a screen.
For many of us, football memories become markers of time. They remind us where we were, who we shared those moments with, and why they mattered.
Yet football has changed.
Today, the game is consumed faster than ever before. Matches become clips. Stories become highlights. Entire careers can be reduced to a few seconds on a feed before disappearing beneath the next piece of content.
There is nothing wrong with that, it is simply the rhythm of the modern world.
But somewhere along the way, we found ourselves drawn towards something slower. The objects that remain, the stories that endure, the memories that deserve more than a passing glance...
Batch XI began with a simple belief: some football memories are worth preserving.
Not as statistics, not as rankings, not as endless content, but as stories, as objects... as reminders of moments that continue to resonate long after the final whistle.
The teams, players and tournaments that stay with us are rarely defined by results alone. What we remember are the feelings attached to them: the player everyone tried to imitate, the shirt that instantly transports us back to a particular moment, the match that becomes family folklore and is retold for decades.
Football's greatest memories are not always the most recent, nor are they always the most successful. They are simply the ones that endure.
We're not attempting to document the entirety of football history - that would be impossible - instead, our desire is to carefully select small fragments of it.
Moments, teams and stories that deserve to be revisited. Pieces of football culture that continue to inspire conversation years, sometimes decades, after they first appeared.
But how to preserve those memories in a way that felt meaningful?
The answer led us away from mass production and towards craftsmanship, towards small editions, towards objects made by hand.
In a world increasingly defined by speed and infinite replication, there is something reassuring about an object that carries evidence of the person who made it - subtle variations, small imperfections, the marks of human hands.
